Q: What is the best advice you could give others just starting their surrogacy journey?

A: Find a team you can totally rely on. Since you will not be with your surrogate most of the time, a team that can have your total trust and that can constantly be there for help, support and comfort is crucial.

Q: What was the hardest part of your journey?

A: The first trimester of the pregnancy because you won’t know what will happen. Another aspect was being so far away during all of her screenings and exams but thanks to technology we have shared all those precious moments. The third one was being at home after being released from the hospital, just the three of us. The first 5 minutes were so crazy because you don’t realize what happened.

Q: What was the best part of your journey?
A: The best part was being able to stay with our surrogate all the time during the labor and the baby’s birth. All those moments, emotions, worries, everything have a special place in our hearts.
Our journey was so smooth so let’s say that kind of all the journey was easy. Share all the moments during the last period of the pregnancy, during our son’s birth and the first month after his birth were the most beautiful times of our new life as parents.

Q: What was your favorite thing about your relationship with your surrogate?
A: Trust! Trusting each other deeply, being honest and open, being present without being apprehensive. We are so grateful to have met her in our life, she left an indelible mark on us as a human being. We wish there were more people like her. Our gratitude is endless.
