Motivation and wisdom were in abundance recently at the Fourth Annual International Surrogacy and Infertility Conference, held in the City of Tel Aviv in Israel. A majority of the attendees were hopeful gay dads in Israel who were seeking information about the surrogacy process in the United States.

Surrogacy in Israel is only legal under very particular circumstances and is not a viable option for most LGBT parents who are hoping to expand their families. Alternatively, the US has come a long way – for instance, the right to marry and the ease in which gay dads are both named as parents on the birth certificate in various states.

A wide array of surrogacy workshops, seminars and exhibitions were tailored for LGBT prospective parents of diverse religious or secular beliefs.
